Call To Action: Send email requests to the Oregon State Legislative Assembly for legislation in support of Earth Sharing methods, such as Land Value Taxation and a Citizen's Dividend Universal Basic Income.
Oregon is known to be among the most progressive states in America. That is why we are focusing advocacy efforts on the beaver state to implement environmentally friendly and economically just Earth Sharing legislation. Earth Sharing methods are based on the ideas of American Founding Father Thomas Paine, Progressive Era American author and social economic reformer Henry George, and other supporters, such as Thomas Jefferson and Joseph Stiglitz. Henry George is credited with being the most influential proponent of land value taxation and the value capture of land and resource rents. His ideas are challenging to the injustice of the status quo and they are still relevant to this day. His most famous work, Progress and Poverty (1879), which sold millions of copies worldwide and probably more than any other American book before that time, is a treatise on inequality, the cyclic nature of industrialized economies, and the use of land value capture as a remedy. Other notable people in support of Earth Sharing methods include Adam Smith, the American Founding Fathers, Winston Churchill, and Joseph Stiglitz, among others.
If you live in Oregon, please help us to raise awareness in the Oregon State Legislative Assembly about evolutionary Earth Sharing ideas in an effort to make the world a more fair and just place. We are envisioning Oregon to help lead the way for sweeping reforms across the nation. Type your name, email, and city in the boxes below, make any changes to the message that you see fit, and click the send button at the bottom to send it over to the Oregon State Legislative Assembly representatives. "The equal right of all to the use of land is as clear as their equal right to breathe the air - it is a right proclaimed by the fact of their existence."
